Bostik SingleApp Wood Flooring Adhesive Demonstration

Bostik SingleApp wood flooring adhesive saves time, money and hassle by combining two products into one. Bostik SingleApp eliminates the need for a separate moisture vapor membrane when installing wood and bamboo flooring. SingleApp is available for purchase exclusively at Lowe’s stores. After preparing the concrete by cleaning it and clearing away debris, you can begin applying Bostik SingleApp. First, there may be surface skinning on the adhesive in the container; clear this away by cutting around the edges and throwing out the skinning. Following the instructions included with your flooring, prepare the work area. This may include allowing for an expansion space, and securing a starter row to the sub-flooring. Also, be sure to use the appropriate sized trowel for your flooring type. Mark out a 2-3 foot wide work space. Then pour the adhesive directly onto the concrete, using the trowel to stop the flow when you have enough. Spread the adhesive with the trowel at a 45 degree angle to avoid gaps or excess adhesive. Once you have filled your workspace with adhesive, lay the boards in a long-medium-short pattern to stagger the seams. Immediately clean up any adhesive that gets on the boards using Bostik’s Ultimate Adhesive Remover and a non-abrasive clean cloth. Curing, or drying, time for Bostik SingleApp adhesive is about 8-10 hours for light foot traffic, and 24 hours for regular foot traffic. This video features an Italpresse automatic cold pressing line for the lamination of 2 plies engineered flooring (IN REAL PRODUCTION). Plywood boards (in this video are particleboard only for demonstration) are fed through a glue spreader that applies glue only on the top side of the panel. Once the plywood panel reaches and stop on top of the disc conveyor, a handling unit will pick up the panel by means of grippers with thin panel holding device and will lay it down on a motorized belt mounted on top of a scissors lift. Subsequently a vacuum handling unit will pick up the solid wood lamellas and it will lay them down on top of the plywood panel. This unit is self aligning, therefore when the solid wood lamellas are placed over the plywood sheet, alignment is automatically assured. Glued plywood panel handling unit and solid wood lamellas handling unit run on the same runways granting precision of reciprocal positioning of the two units. This process will repeat till a stack of panels/lamellas is made. Once the stack is composed, all the material will be driven into the hydraulic press for the pressing cycle.

Water got underneath my parquet floor….?

I had a problem with my washing machine and water got underneath the floor. The floor picked up and it won’t go down flat anymore. My husband said he’ll buy a strong glue and squeeze it underneath and try to get it to stick again…. Will that work or do I have to remove the floor and put down fresh parquet? Thanks tons for reading.

I’d like to whiten my floor because white floor is light and cheery, looks new and clean. We inherited our house which was built in the 70s, its in tip top condition except that I am unhappy with the floor, but wouldn’t think of stripping the parquet to put ceramic tiles.
