How do you install hard surface to hard surface transfer?

I am installing engineered wood planks and I am having trouble on gauging what amount of space I need between the new "wood" floor and the existing tile. I have a "T" shaped hard surface transfer piece and I know it needs to go between the tile and wood floor…I just don’t know how to measure this or the best way to approach it. Anyone have a site or video on how to make this happen? Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Whats involved in refinishing a dull wooden floor?

We have three rooms with wood floors in our home when we bought it. They are, from what I gather, real wood floors, not tile or linoleum. Thye have alot of scratches and I would very much like to see them in good shape and shiny. I am not a fix – er – upper. What would I need to do this, and what approx would be the cost.

The rooms are two medium bedrooms and a long and narrow kitchen floor.

What kind of wood floor should I put in my home?

Due to our recent rainy season in so. california, ( homes here are not built to withstand the elements I guess). my home had lots of water damage,i.e., wet walls, buckled floors and molding coming off the walls and saturated. Water came under the threshold of my french door. I am having the roof repaired, the patio cover ledger repaired, thinking about new windows, but need to make a decision on replacing existing wood floors. I can’t do tile and loved my wood floors. Should I do laminate, engineered wood or the old fashioned wood floor strips that they stain?
